Lily of the Valley???

We burned off a wooded area last year. This year something came up that looks similar to lily of the valley. The only difference is the leaves are thinner. The flowers are not quite big enough to open are hanging under the plant. Any ideas or could it be something else?

Could it be Solomons Seal - Polygonatum?

It sounds like the Solomon's Seal(flowers develop under the stalk) or False Solomon's seal(flowers develop above the stalk) that is native where I live but if AR in your username means Arizona, then I'm not sure if you would have these species so much farther south than me. I'm not familiar at all with the native species to your region so maybe others from Az will know.

Also check Uvularia sp. (sessifolia?) and Mainthemum canadense (both very common in Northeast, not so sure about Arkansas).
