| I could find no other forum that seems to fit my topic better. Zone 7. Willow Oaks, sometimes called pin oaks, now at 27 years grown so tall and wide that the power company has trimmed away about 60% of the branches, not shapely at all. I did not plant them, but the combination of species and location was not good at all. My thought is that removing them and planting cornus kousa/koura would be the better approach. What are the possible drawbacks/problems with this species? Other suggestions? |

| You might obtain some good suggestions in the Tree Forum. I'd guess that few people would find problems with the Kousa dogwood. |
