I have some of them JIP growing in my shade bed.Are quiet a few patches of them in the woods here.mine came from spot they logged out.most of them got pretty trashed& the tarros didn't return where ws logged either.Nice trillions

Great photos Paul, one of my favorites also. I love poking through the woods in search of the trillium every spring. Each new one I find, or an expanded patch is just a delight. Such a cheerful early flower.

One year I had a huge load of soil delivered to a spot where the big double-tired dumping truck had to maneuver back and forth between trees, our drivway, and the dumping zone. In one final effort to get the monster truck located properly, I watched in horror as those dang double tires drove right over my trillium patch of 20 or so plants! BOO HOO. I am fairly confident the diesel engine noise drowned out my namecalling so the driver didn't hear me.
