I found Secret Garden Growers when I did a web search for golden wood rush. While their prices for plants were good, their shipping was outrageous: $15.50 shipping on two 4" container plants (that came to $12), $18.75 shipping for three plants and on up.
I may be forced to order from them to get a trial plant to see if I like it and it does well lighting up my problem spot of dry, full shade. But I want to find a better shipping price if I plan to order enough to landscape that spot.
They really aren't getting rich from those shipping charges, but the price would add up if you wanted many plants. They probably should break down their charges a little differently so it doesn't look like they are charging just to place the plant in the box. Most if not all of their handling charge would be used up in shipping costs (no company would even come close to transporting a plant for the $3.25 they charge for a single plant) and packaging with small orders. Any time you need a large quantity of plants, it's best to try to find them locally. You may have to settle for something more run-of-the-mill or be willing to fork out that money. Another option is to buy a small number of plants and propagate more yourself.
