Not a whole bunch of these growing in our wooded backyard but was intrigued by it. Just curious if anyone can place a name with the face. Thanks!

Thank you! You are correct! I had no idea it was in the Verbena family....very interesting! It's nice to have something pop up in our backyard that isn't thorny and invasive!
