Hickory Tree Seeds

Does anyone have hickory tree seeds they'd care to share? I read the post about growing seedlings. I'd like to give it a try. Should I wait and ask in the fall?

Unless someone saved some last fall, you'll probably have to wait until fall. You can use the time to find local hickories, then collect your own nuts in the fall. I find it easiest to collect nuts in a park or yard where there is a lawn under the hickory tree. Country roads are also good places to find hickory nuts. In the woods it can be hard to find the nuts when they fall into shrubs, leaves, etc. on the forest floor.
