Removing Locust tree sprouts

danny_ray

Can someone please tell me how to remove locusts sprouts from all over my yard successfully. Pulling and cutting these little buggers is becoming a pain in the butt evry week! There is probably a chemical, but I don't want to hurt my lawn or wildlife.

Thanks for your time,

Dan

If sprouting from roots of a tree, the only answer is to cut down the tree and treat the stump with Round Up. Root sprouts will continue to come up for the couple of years, treat them with Round Up as well.

If coming up as seedlings from a tree not on your yard then you can only keep cutting them down with the lawn mower.
