Where do you live? That is important to know when trying to identify a plant.

Could this be a honeysuckle? There are bush honeysuckles. Was this in someone's yard or in the wild area?

Perhaps you're thinking of Impatiens pallida?

I am in MN. ZN 3/4. It was among undergrowth of Burr Oak trees in a non landscaped part of the property. Our two acres is in a subdivision that was cut out of an oak stand that used to border the north side of a lake. We all have 2-3 acres and most of it has been left pretty undisturbed. I do not think it was Honey suckle, I have Wild and have had the vine type. It was not on my land and I have never seen it before. Near it there was a black-eyed susan that evidently blew across the road as there is a garden with a large patch there. I will look up the suggestion from Paalexan.
