Planting a nursery redbud

| Just bought a large container "Forest Pansy" and trying to confirm if Fall is OK to plant, or should I wait till spring?
Normally I'd plant in Fall, but it may be a while before we dry out after all this rain (if it ever stops)....
If I leave it in the container through winter, do I need to do anything special? |

| I would get it in the ground. Roots will continue to grow as long as the ground remains unfrozen. I've planted many trees and shrubs in the fall and they have done well. |
