Can trout lilies/hostas/epimedium be houseplants indoors?

Or will they get messed up by not having a dormant phase?

I put my hosta inside and it hasn't grown at all in weeks. Epimedium I put in and they the leaves are all browning, from the outside edges in. I don't know what could be wrong. They get a couple or 3 hours of sunlight a day at most. Could the lack of sunlight be the problem? I thought since these were shade plants they'd be able to handle it but so far it doesn't look so great...

Might be lack of sun -- two to three hours of indoor light is like deep shade outdoors or could be low humidity.

None of these plants are suitable as houseplants. They need a dormant period, put them back outside so they can sleep for the winter.
