Henry Mitchell web site

I have just established an unofficial Henry Mitchell web site, which has, among other things, information about his books, searchable tables of contents, and links to online quotes. The highlight of the site, however, is a set of images taken by Nicholas Weber during visits to Mitchell's Washington garden in 1987. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Here is a link that might be useful: Mitchell web site

RE: Henry Mitchell web site

I am a big fan of Henry Mitchell's garden writing and will definitely check out your website at the first opportunity. I once wrote him about an article he wrote about cantaloupes and muskmelons and asked him to explain the difference. He immediately wrote me back a thoughtful reply and I still have that letter (somewhere).

Thank you for sharing your Mitchell web site with us. It is excellent. A fun read. He has been one of my favorite garden writers for many years. One hot afternoon he visited my nursery and we strolled the growing fields, ice tea in hand. Spotting a thick stand of poison ivy clambering up a pine he slowly walked around the tree pronouncing poison ivy to be one of the most attractive vines that grows. "If only we could find the one vine out there in the wild that wasn't toxic.....", he said wistfully.
