| I was amazed when a lady from my local Master Gardener organization said she had been reading me for years on this forum but had never posted anything herself. That is twice something like that has happened. I guess we'll never know how many visit without posting (lurk). Maybe it is like public speaking for some people but I come from a family of big talkers and after all, this is just a big conversation about gardening and writing. Jump in there. |
Follow-Up Postings:

| Yes. Jump right in. None of us bite. |

| All right, all right. I've been lurking for years and you finally convinced me to sign up. Howdy. |

| Welcome! Stick around for a while. This is a very friendly (and knowledgeable) bunch. |
| Amy, I'm glad to have come out of the shadows. I read a little of your blog. Yes, we had a worm scam here(Oklahoma). It is amazing that these things can get going so easily. |

| Hey Eddie, So,Im the lurking lady, I dont really think of it as lurking,as much as hesitant to write the wrong thing. I do enjoy all the info,I have read from this site though. I did a presentation today, for a garden club.I have been doing this for a few years now,but I always get nervous ahead of time, and then afterwards so relieved its over, even though it went real well. Public speaking is always putting yourself out there,I never know how it will go,but I just keep trying, and people keep asking us to speak again, which is a good sign. |

| "writing the wrong thing" -- don't worry, we all do, at times. |
| I'm a lurker by nature, learn more by keeping my trap shut so I can hear what others have to say. I'm not a 'writer' by any means but enjoy this site. |

| Salutations... I've been reading the garden writers forum for a little while, mostly out of curiosity. I'm a crafts/DIY writer and am interested in expanding into garden writing, too. :) |
| Welcome! I'm just beginning to expand into garden writing myself from food/wine/travel writing. |
| Hey! enough expanding already. |
| You lost me -- again? Unless you're talking about my waistline. |
| I think Everyone is writing well. I enjoy reading these posts. There! I said it. P.S., keep posting all you writers out there! |
| Everyone? |
| I am not a writer, guess you can tell, lol. I admire those who can express themselves, it's difficult for me at times. |
