Hopeful March

John_D

March came roaring in this morning like sea lion on wet flippers. It wetted the ground parched by the February sun with a light rain welcomed by blooming crocuses, daffodils, and flowering trees.

While we can still expect a few frosts -- and perhaps a bit of snow -- early March marks the beginning of spring for us. Soon new leaves will sprout, gardens and hills will once again turn green, and it will be warm enough for me to carry my laptop computer outside and work in the garden.

What is your garden like in March? Have you written about it?
