Spring has sprung poem

My grandmother said she learned this poem in grade school.
She taught it to me as a child. I have tried to do some research on the poem but have not had any luck.
Has anyone ever heard this?
"Spring has sprung!", said the bumble bee.
"How do you know?", said the old oak tree.
"I just saw a daffodil blooming on a windy hill!"
Grandmother is 77 now and in the hospital.
We have been very worried about her,
but my brother and I have had a good laugh, we both carried daffodils to her and recited her poem.

| Hi there! Was also searching for "Spring is Sprung" poems My one comes from my father who used to recite Spring is sprung, the grass is rise
I wonder where the birdies is! Maybe there is no original poem, just fun with words going back through the generations? regards David |

| Redoak - my dad used to recite that one too. I just did a quick google on it and found nothing except many other people wondering where it came from. It's from the 50's according to one "expert". The grass is ris, though, or riz, not rise, in my memory and in the other discussions of this lovely poem. |

| I remember this as a song from 40s or 50s. From memory, not complete, but I can sing it: Oh, spring has sprung, the grass is riz,
wonder where the flowers is, wonder where that man of mine has went.
The boids are choiping in the trees, the wind is blowing as it please, and everyone's as happy as can be, except for me, I am not free.
