Waterpod, Ellisia nyctelea

Annual, reproducing by seed.
I know its name now.
Curiosity compelled me to look it up.
I knew I had not planted this unknown
invader of garden space.
I could see that it was an attractive pale green, leaves deeply lobed, a tiny hard to see single white flower on a long curling fragile stem.
The round seed pod unusually large, a star shaped calyx at base.
But I felt as if I did not know it until I knew its name.
