The Dark Garden: For the Warlock in me

A full moon is raising
like a whale breeching the sea
wind driven clouds rolling
into the trees
ungentle leaves smack
down to the forest shore
and the moon rises higher
on a ribbon no one can see
but a ray of moon light extends to beckon me
The sound of that light
erases the moaning garden floor
a fear or joy contains me now
to fall or fly
it’s all the same in the path
of the moon’s starry sky
Hear it...hear it
Moon light raining down on the Earth
The moon reaches it’s height
where no wind or cloud can be
and out races the sun
towards where it’s taking me
the eyes don’t water now
then we started to dive
clear cross the horizon
the journey did take
was I flying or falling?
What difference did it make
A Silver valley rises up from below
Cobb webs of rain drops are falling to slow
threw them, then past them I still had to go
but then the Moon left me
not on a mountain, tree top or mist covered floor
no, in my Garden I’ve come to adore
among the flowers, vines and things I can’t spell
to sit in my Garden with a story to tell
