The Dark Garden: Bhot Jolokia sky

The purple highlights of the twilight
Words to roll on a tongue
like photo in B&W
that capture with their graying hues
and shadows deeper still
to walk among the corn stalks
where spiders weave
their graffedee of death
for many who just took wing
but further back in the garden
the last place sunlight takes leave
is a chair, a table and a cup of tea
to watch a Bhot Jolokia summer sky
burn down to the black of night
I’ll take time for a pot
or maybe two?
For even with things I should do
you should relax in the garden too
