I watched a Hawk fly
high, high to the belly of the sky
where rainbows hide
he did glide
without a beat of either wing
envy made my heart sing
to wander where the lighting strikes
untouched by heavens mighty light
my mind untwines
a mental line
to reach that flying kite
for tho earth bound
I have found
A spirit of the air
I wish to share
but my feet won’t leave the ground
and in time he comes down
to settle in a tree
inviting me
"Come share the sky and see"
but it can not be
he took wing away from me
the earth was my berth
which gave me birth
and him to the sky and trees |
