Praying Mantis on my window sill
looking for something or other to kill
with precision, accurate and a Unholy appetite
it would start eating....
you from the very first bite
no napkin, fork or a knife
not even a plate to set you on just right
cold and unhurried as if in stone
predator unseen, unknown
but welcome them to the garden
they do a service we can’t ignore
be glad we’re to big to eat
when they come round your door
