| I have done many reviews for amazon.com. I request review copies from publishers when I feel the book is well into my area of expertise, and I specify it is for amazon. About 60% of the time, they agree. My reviews are factual, critical, and detailed. I never "thank" a publisher with a better review than the book deserves, and as an author I have no compunctions about savaging a really bad book. Some of them may be available under my name, Ronald Lanner. All are about trees. |
