How to find self-published books

I'm a reader, not a writer. I'd like to know how to find self-published garden books. I'm especially interested in books written by collectors of one genus or even one family.

Bookstores might carry some self-published garden books, but if you self-publishers haven't convinced a retailer to carry your books, how else do you make them available? How do I search you out? Because I don't care if such books are written tailored to my own garden locale, I'd like to know how to find them from far and wide.

So..??

Have you tried Published.com? This would be a good start in your search. Also,if you did a search on self-published writers directories, it would point you to some web sites of interest. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the suggestions. I was unaware of either.
