Doctor Help Me!

This beginner has no clue what kind of lawn I've inherited the care of. Sorry, but I don't know how to post photos, so I'll just post the links to the two pictures (below) I took last week so you'll have to cut/paste them. I live in the southern tip of NY State. Zone 6. All that's been done in the last 40 years is mowing/watering. I've tried to ID them from photos online but I'm not too good at it.

Thank you for the inquiry. Not to worry, you will find it is not so hard. Just start with the three basics below.

Mowing Â Mow your lawn on a regular basis. Follow the 1/3 rule- Never cut more than 1/3 of the leaf blade during any single mowing. This will prevent scalping and help to provide a dense lawn. How often you mow will depend on a) your mowing height (the higher you set it, the longer you can go between mowings and still follow the rule. You will experiment here), b) the weather, and c) your inputs, like water and fertilizer that promote growth (do these in moderation, and you will mow on a regular schedule, do them in excess and you will be forced to mow more. Do not do them and you will have primarily weeds, not what you wanted.

Fertilizing Â In your area, I advise the Holiday plan with a quality turf fertilizer (a reputable garden center will set you up). Put down your fertilizer at Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving. Any point within a 5-10 day period will be ok. Remember, twice as much is never twice as good, read and follow the back of the bag. And, you can always put more on, but you can never take fertilizer off the yard.

Watering Â If you choose to water, water early in the day. This will help against disease. Water to give the grass about 1.0 inch water/week. The intervals are up to you and your lawn.

That is your starting point. I did not cover weed control, but you can put down a preemergence herbicide for crabgrass any time in the next 3-4 weeks. You can see lots of answers in my new book, Lawn Geek. Good luck to you.

Thank you Doctor...I feel better already! Just one more thing. Can you wager a guess from the closeup photo as to what variety of grass I may have? Some have said it looks like Kentucky Bluegrass or maybe Fine Fescue?

Awww, she's so sweet. Too bad she got seperated from her companions, but at least you have her. She looks perfect with the eggs. (I like the feet, too) I've not seen one with a concrete shawl and bonnet. My friend has one on her deck she inherited from her mil (with holiday and seasonal outfits, plus she make some of her own), and she keeps her done up all the time. It's really cute and fun. There is a house on the way to the store that has a bunch of concrete Canadian geese (adults and babies) they change the positions of, maybe when they mow. Always intersting to see where they are this month. Statues are such fun. Free is the best. Love your Goosey!

Yes, it does depend on the medication, and Lipitor is one that should not be cut in half! My doctor prescribed Lipitor (10mg daily) for me many years ago, and then wanted me to cut it down to 5mg daily. But, it doesn't come in 5mg size. All of the literature on Lipitor says not to cut the pills. I contacted the pharmceutical company and was told NOT to cut them. So, my doctor "changed it" so that I would take one 10mg pill every other day.

I have vaginal secretion.I have never have sex..these secretions having the yellowish to beig .. these secretions ,also have a such specil smell which seems to be bad ...however, I think some times(more times)about sex,,is that affect? Im 19 ... so,, I need your help about all that and I ll be so gratefull
