bermuda in fescue....

Dr. Rogers:

So sorry for my "SHASTA" Posting... as a newbie I did not realize that this was currently for lawns... so I will make amends by asking you: "HOW DO I RID WHAT WAS ONCE A BEAUTIFUL NEW MARATHON 1 LAWN OF THE TERRIBLY INVASIVE BERMUDA GRASS?" I get the feeling that the soil was not properly cleansed when they sodded it 6 years ago.

THANK YOU for your THOUGHTS !!

PS: The BERMUDA has not completely overtaken the fescue (yet) but each year it seems to be gaining ground... there are spots that remain unblemished... and others that seem to be all bermuda... I live in the inland area of Los Angeles... frosty nights are common in the winter... major heat during the summers. The Bermuda does go dormant during the winter... I've tried to dig it out but there are just way too many undergrounmd runners.

( My Vietnamese neighbor suggest AGENT ORANGE ;-)
