I would like to hear from you on how to control and eliminate horsetail. I would like to also know if there any new methods out there ?

RE: here is a challenge - horsetail

Dear LG,

Thank you very much for your inquiry. I do not consider myself an expert in horsetail, but my few experiences in gardens and turf have taught me this is one mean weed. It has a structure and biology that lends it to being almost impossible to eradicate. For my money and time, I would start with 1 of 2 methods for control. Either a 25% solution of vinegar (applied on a sunny day) or 2,4 D at a 1% solution. Both will need multiple applications and must be applied on sunny days. Best of luck.

Again, thanks for the question and let me know if you have more.

Respectfully
