Have you seen the grow sponges? How hard is it going to be to separate the baby plants if this method works? It's going to be a shock to some degree when you separate the babies no matter what method you use to root the leaves. I also don't know about the constant light. Plants do need to rest, they can't have light all the time. Or did I just not understand? I guess the best answer would be to try and see what happens. tish

Gee thanks m3rmald. I'm not smart enough to know how to search for past postings. Thanks:( Lilypad22, the sponges are soft, and biodegradeable. I have to buy the leaves,on EBay, and some of them are not cheap. No freebies:). The lights are set to run from 15-17 hours,depending on the seeds planted in it. So IF the leaves actually rooted, and if I got more than one baby,I would just plant it all together,and when they are big, I would keep the biggest and cut out the rest. No fuss,no muss, and no root damage at all. I only want 1 plant of any violet that I root.
