Hi, unfortunately I'm not aware of the botanical garden list you're referring to (would love to have it myself) but I can give you this info about landmark metasequoias in San Francisco if you ever come to the city, there are two you shouldn't miss located at 486 Roosevelt Way and 2146 9th Avenue. I don't know if every major city has such a list but they should. Also someone should combine all the landmark tree lists into 1 database (if this site wants to do it I'll be happy to contribute the entire SF list, it covers all tree species not just conifers). Imagine the great vacations we could plan!

I remember seeing it, and thinking it wasn't very well put together, so maybe no great loss.
