I used to have this site bookmarked and drool over the paintings. You probably know that the painting in the upper right on the Cottage Garden start page is by this artist.

Some time ago, there was a great discussion on the Cottage Garden forum about this artist and her work; and I believe a collector or museum curator (?) joined in the conversation. I sometimes direct gardeners who ask "What is a cottage garden?" to this website. Thanks for posting the link for others who are unaware of Ms.Allingham's paintings.
