Good Online Source for Minis

Posted by goddessemer6 z9a NV (My Page) on

My friend lives in a home owners assoc housing, so I have suggested to her to grow mini roses in her front yard where she has wanted to add a splash of color but is not allowed to have a large rose bush. Does anyone have some good suggestions for an online source of minis? And also maybe some suggestions of heat tollerant varieties of minis? Thank you!

I have never ordered a mini, but I intend to order this year from Nor'East, which I have heard excellent things about.

In addition to the places listed in the thread linked below, add Rosemania.com.

Here is a link that might be useful: Where to order; What to order Help!

I ordered 2 from Nor'Easter and 4 from John's Miniatures. The ones from Nor'Easter arrived much bigger/bushier and healthier looking. And within a week, they had put out new leaves. I choose Glowing Amber and Seattle Scentsation from Nor'Easter and from John's I ordered Snow Ruby, Chasing Rainbows, Ring of Fire and Incognito. Seattle arrived w/ a bloom and while it didn't scent the entire room, it did have a fabulous smell. Very stereotypical rose smell.

Nor'East, Rosemania, Bridges, Almost Heaven. They all sell quality plants, and stand behind them. I had an entire order from Nor'East (15 plants!) die two years ago, due to poor handling from the USPS, and they replaced every rose with no problems.

Nor'East minis are top notch and I highly recommend them. I also got some pretty good ones from Uncommon Rose.

I have only ordered mini's from Nor'east, and I highly reccommend them.I received 4 plants about a month ago,and they were much bigger then I thought they would be,and one had a bloom and was full of buds.I planted them in 10 inch pots and they are 2 to 3 times larger now.I will be orfering from them again.
